Privacy Policy

Effective: October 8, 2026

This policy explains what personal data WCODS collects, why, and your rights. WCODS (wcods.com) is operated by Megahost LLC, 36 South 18th Avenue, Suite D, Brighton, CO 80601, United States, which is responsible for your data. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address and password (stored only in encrypted form), and anything you add to your profile.
  • Learning data: the courses you enrol in, your progress, quiz results, and the reviews, questions and comments you post.
  • Purchase data: what you bought, when and for how much. Card payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal); we never receive or store your full card number.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser and device information in server logs, kept for security and to keep the site running.

Why we use it

  • To provide your account and courses, and to process purchases (to perform our contract with you).
  • To answer your messages and send you service emails, such as receipts and password resets (contract).
  • To keep WCODS secure and working, and to prevent fraud (our legitimate interests).
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who receives it

Only the providers we need to run WCODS: our hosting provider, payment providers and email delivery. They process data on our behalf and under contract. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

International transfers

WCODS is operated from the United States, and your data may be processed there. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

How long we keep it

Account and learning data are kept while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise this data, except what we must keep by law (such as purchase records, kept for the period required by accounting rules).

YouTube API Services

WCODS publishes its own course videos to the WCODS YouTube channel with an internal tool that uses YouTube API Services. When the WCODS team connects that channel, the tool receives an access token from Google and uses it only to upload videos the team has approved (with their titles, descriptions, captions, thumbnails and playlist) and to read the channel name and its playlists. The token is stored only on the WCODS team computer, in the system keychain, and is deleted when the channel is disconnected. No YouTube data of WCODS students or other viewers is collected, and nothing is shared with third parties. By using YouTube features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google handles data under the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at any time in the Google security settings.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw any consent you gave. Write to [email protected]. If you live in the European Union, you may also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
